The Gold Rush (original 1925 version)
(1925, Charles Chaplin)
Remember all that whining by viewers I previously referred to regarding Chaplin reworking and subsequently diminishing the impact of the original film?
They were right; this is better. If I had watched this in chronological order, I probably would be even more adamant about it (i.e., whiny).
The order in which I watched it, however, increased its impact. Perhaps I need a time machine to head back to 1982 for the original release of Blade Runner.
