Time to give thanks

Sure, it’s Thanksgiving, and I’m thankful for all the usual things. You know, family, health, fantastic good looks and imminent world peace thanks to the upcoming election and victory in our war on terrorism. Okay, that’s reaching.

But I’m really thankful for the best news of the year so far: Bell’s Beer might be coming back to Chicagoland. (via Gapers Block). And they’re being sneaky about it!

Truly though, it was a sad day in my life when Larry Bell stopped shipping Oberon and Two-Hearted Ale into my town. I mean, this distribution map makes me want to cry. Poor Illinois. I guess I also feel bad for the rest of the country too, but it’s not like we don’t know what we’re missing.

I’d be truly thankful if this news were true, as should all real Americans. That’s what Thanksgiving is all about: Americans getting to drink what they want.
