Happy Halloween!

This short, “The Life and Death of a Pumpkin”, was made by two guys from Madison, Wisconsin who are really funny and talented. One of them, Matt Sloan, is a friend of mine from college, and a while ago, he invited me to a short film festival in Chicago where this film was being featured. It got a great response, but he and his partner, Aaron Yonda, kept getting asked about a viral video series they had created called “Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager” (also available via YouTube). Perhaps you know it.

Chad Vader has opened many doors for Matt and Aaron, but they’re no one-trick ponies as evidenced in this film or any of the others on their site at splu.net. Check ’em out. Their latest, “Death is My Co-Pilot” is partly a homage to Monty Python, Ingmar Bergman and Bill and Ted’s Bonus Journey.

Anywho, I’m gearing up for NaBloPoMo and NaNoReMo starting tomorrow. Have no idea what I’ll be blogging, and still don’t have Catch-22 in my hot little hands (latest info: en route from San Francisco). So, it should be a good month.
