After the Thin Man

After the Thin Man

(1936, Dir. W.S. Van Dyke)

A step-up from the original, if only because it fleshes out the characters of Nick and Nora Charles (William Powell and the lovely Myrna Loy) even more. Stylish and screwball, and featuring a young Jimmy Stewart in a supporting role.

  1. Just so you know, they’re all downhill from here. But for more Powell/Loy fun, I do recommend Libeled Lady, if you haven’t seen it.
