In the Mood for Love

In the Mood for Love

(2000, Dir. Wong Kar-Wai)

Beautifully filmed, but quite repetitive and much more about mood than story. You can't take your eyes off the screen, but sometimes you wish there was more action to propel the thing along, instead of jumping between stretches of solitary figures sullenly standing or staring in slow motion. (That fulfills my need for alliterative description for at least six months.)
