Aeon Flux

Aeon Flux

(2005, dir. Karyn Kusama)
Not as bad as I expected. That being said, the dialogue is wretched, the futuristic wardrobes are goofy and Charlize Theron's performance as an action hero is decidedly unbelievable. Also, it's hardly representative of its source material, a highly creative animation serial, which was MTV's Liquid Television mainstay. Wastes both Pete Postelthwaite and Frances McDormand in minor roles (the latter of which might have filmed her material in a day or less).
